The best Scholarship apps!
Some Local Scholarship opportunities
I don't know about you, but my social media has been filled with videos of new scholarships to apply to. There is no means of organization with this, which really stresses me out. I downloaded a few apps and determined the pros and cons of each so I could choose which would be the most organized and relevant to high school seniors or people in college.
Raise Me
When I started my experience with this app, they had me fill out a questionnaire with colleges that I'm applying to and some of my extracurricular activities. They wanted to know what my future profession was and things like that. This process takes a minute to fill out, but it is worth it for sure! They make sure you are applying to scholarships that are for the colleges you are interested in. I thought that this app was more difficult to use, and not a lot of the colleges were open for scholarship applicants yet (which is my fault, not theirs). :)
Mos
I originally started with the app Mos. I saw an ad online for it and figured it would be worth trying! They have a chat center where someone or AI sends you one scholarship at a time. I like this app because it only bothers you with one scholarship at a time and because it sends you notifications to let you know how long you have until the due date. It organizes them by the due dates and if you don't want to apply you can type that you want something else and they will take note of it in their system and give you another one. So far I have applied for over 7 thousand dollars worth of scholarships taking on average 5 minutes per application.
One thing I didn't care for was that they aren't personalized scholarships. They are all luck-based so there is less chance you will get them. Overall the app was easy to use and very organized but I wish there was a way to track local scholarships as well.
The app Raise Me definitely got to know me better but I like the organization of Mos a little better and I was able to apply for things that were open to me! :)
